Travis County Clerk Announces Vote Tallys and Election Results for November 3, 2015 Election

County Clerk, Dana DeBeauvoir announced today the successful conclusion of vote tallys and canvass processes for the November 3, 2015 election. “It is important for the public to know that the Elections Division uses a variety of election security and testing processes to ensure precise voting results, and we are fully confident in the outcome of the November 3rd Election.” DeBeauvoir said.

The Elections Division uses a closed voting system voting not linked to the Internet or intranet. We have been nationally recognized for our practices regarding election security. Extensive testing is performed which includes system testing before, during and after each election; Logic and Accuracy tests; Parallel testing and Hash-code tests.

For the November 3, 2015 Election, the division produced zero and tally tapes before and after Election Day. Travis County works with the Texas Secretary of State to ensure adherence to Texas election statutes and administrative rules.
