On Friday, April 27, 2018, Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new ePollBook system for Travis County. This new project is the latest in a series of efforts by the County Clerk and her staff, and investments being made by Travis County government, to upgrade the various systems that are part of the election process. An ePollBook the first point of contact a voter makes at the poll. It is used by the poll worker to check a voter in ensure that voter's eligibility. The RFP released today will allow Travis County to identify and implement the latest technology available to further enhance the security of the voting process. Travis County currently uses an ePollBook system developed by Hamer Enterprises. It was acquired in 2002.
